A ballet-inspired fitness class, that brings together barre, pilates and HIIT training for a full-body (high energy!) workout. Expect jumps, squats and planks. And pirouettes, arabesques and jetés. These classes are open to absolutely anyone - whether you always wanted to try ballet as kid, but didn't get the chance. Or you trained for years and miss the burn (but not the exams!).
It’s a follow-the-leader style class, so if you’ve never done a ballet class in your life, you’ll be fine. Just follow me! (Seriously, you’ve got nothing to worry about!). Wear whatever you feel comfortable in - leggings and a top will do the job. And if you've got ballet shoes and a yoga mat, great. If not, no worries at all.
Dance is about feeling good. So we put a special emphasis on making sure people feel comfortable and welcome in our classes (expect a lot of laughter!). And that everyone leaves with a smile on their face and a spring in their step.
The Dance studio in Sports Hall and Centre on the Bristol Grammar School campus. Members are to enter via the public entrance off Elmdale Rd (you'll see a set of steps running up through the trees, to the main entrance to the Sports Centre. Go up these stairs, enter the building, turn right, then left to go through double doors. The studio is then on your right. If you reach the squash courts you've gone 5 steps too far!). It can be tricky to find so be sure to follow the directions on our website (linked when you book).
